Couple who were married for 75 years died just hours apart as they held hands in bed

But several weeks ago, Mr Toczko suffered a broken hip in a fall and was left bed-bound. A local hospice delivered a special bed to his home, which staff pushed up next to his beloved wife's bed. As Mr Toczko's condition quickly declined, Mrs Toczko's own health took a turn for the worse. The couple had always said they wished to die 'in their own bed, holding hands, in each other's arms'


"She kept asking us, 'What is today, what is today?' We said it was June. She said it's June 29th, and June 29th is their 75th wedding anniversary," said Toczko-Cushman.

The family went along with it, buying balloons and flowers to celebrate, in bed.

  "And we said happy anniversary, and my mother was thrilled to death because it was their anniversary and she knew that he was going and that they had made it to 75 years," said Toczko-Cushman.

The couple's daughter, Aimee Toczko-Cushman, described the moment she told her mother she had lost her husband, who kept a photo of Mrs Toczko at her Holy Communion in his wallet.

'I told my mother he was gone,'. 'She hugged him and she said, "See this is what you wanted. You died in my arms and I love you. I love you, wait for me, I'll be there soon".

 

 

The family left, leaving the couple to share their final moments together.

"Even the hospice nurse said it was the most incredible thing to see the two of them taking those last breaths together," Toczko-Cushman said.

"I knew she wasn't go to last too much longer," Toczko said

"And he died in her arms, which is exactly what he wanted. I went in there and told my mother he was gone; she hugged him and she said, 'See this is what you wanted. You died in my arms and I love you. I love you, wait for me, I'll be there soon,'" said Toczko-Cushman. "It was tough," said Toczko.

The couple who were married for 75 years have fulfilled their final wish to die in each other's arms after they passed away clutching hands, within hours of each other, in their bed.
About 24 hours later, it became time for Jeanette to join her husband.
"They both entered the pearly gates holding hands," said Toczko.
The Toczkos have since been buried.

Nina Dobrev ‘Elena’ Quits ‘Vampire Diaries’

Actress Nina Dobrev has announced that she will
be leaving the Vampire Diaries franchise.
Dobrev, 26, revealed her decision in a lengthy
post on Instagram.

Lake Lanier in Georgia with my own TVD Family,
the cast and crew of The Vampire Diaries. I
want to be the first to tell you that it wasn’t just
a holiday celebration, it was a goodbye party. I
always knew I wanted Elena’s story to be a six
season adventure, and within those six years I
got the journey of a lifetime. I was a human, a
vampire, a doppelganger, a crazy immortal, a
doppelganger pretending to be human, a human
pretending to be a doppelganger. I got
kidnapped, killed, resurrected, tortured, cursed,
body-snatched, was dead and undead, and
there’s still so much more to come before the
season finale in May. Elena fell in love not once,
but twice, with two epic soulmates, and I myself
made some of the best friends I’ll ever know and
built an extended family I will love forever.”
The show’s executive producer, Julie Plec,
confirmed her exit.
“Saying goodbye to Nina is both bittersweet and
beautiful. After six-plus years together, the
entire cast and crew of The Vampire Diaries has
reached a level of closeness that I don’t think
any of us ever expected,” Plec said. “Nina is
excited to spread her wings, get some rests,
travel the world, and also take it by storm,and
we support her a thousand-fold. We will miss
Nina and the four hundred characters she played,
but we look forward to the insane and exciting
challenge of continuing to tell stories of our
Salvatore Brothers and our much-loved and
gifted ensemble.”

Psycho Man stabs prostitute 44 times, then two others next to her bloodied body

A United Kingdom, Steven Mathieson, has pleaded guilty to murdering a prostitute after he stabbed 44 times before raping two other prostitutes in front of his dead victim, reports Mirror.

The 38-year-old Mathieson, was arrested for the attack and murder of Luciana Maurer last December before sexually assaulting two other women who eventually escaped the attacker by running from the house naked and could now be sent to prison for the rest of his life.

The crimes occurred while Mathieson’s girlfriend of 10 years was having a night out and his kids slept next door. Luciana arrived at the home around 11 pm on December 4, 2014, and was dead within a matter of minutes. Mathieson was high on cocaine at the time.

He then called two more prostitutes, who quickly discovered what had happened.

Prosecutor Jane Farquharson told the court:

"Mathieson went into the bedroom first. He put on the light and hung back at the door whilst the women walked in.

As soon as they entered the bedroom, they saw the deceased, lying on her back on top of the double bed.

Mathieson held two knives while blocking the door, preventing the women from leaving.

He told both to remove their clothing and to dance for him.

In fear of what he might do and, with the body of the deceased lying on the bed in front of them, each did as they were told.

Mathieson then raped the women, ages 22 and 26, before bringing them to the downstairs area of the house.

He told them: 'I’m going to be many years in prison because I killed that girl. I’ve done this to show my wife something.’

The women were finally able to escape, running as Mathieson chased after them. After giving up the chase, Mathieson called police and reported what he had done.

2,500 Kenyans march against al-Shabab attack

No fewer than 2,500 people have taken to the streets of Garissatown to protest last Thursday's al-Shabab attack on Garissa University campus.

The protesters marched  in a show of defiance against militant Islamist group al-Shabab following its deadly assault on the university which left 148 people dead.

BBC reports that Muslims and Christians took part in the march, vowing to remain united against the al-Qaeda-linked Somalimilitants.

In a related development, students also hit the streets of Nairobiin protest, demanding better security of campuses.

The protesters said they were no longer prepared to be "at the mercy of al-Shabab" and demanded that the government tighten security at universities and schools across Kenya.

They also mourned the dead, holding placards which read "You remain in our hearts!" and "RIP comrades".

Kenya has been the target of several attacks from al-Shabab including the 2013 attack on Westgate Mall in which about 67 people died. However, the Garissa attack has been described as the deadliest attack in Kenya by the group.

Following the deployment of troops in Somalia to fight the group, the militants have promised a "long, gruesome war" against Kenya.

Governor Fayose’s supporters block roads to stop impeachment plot

Supporters of Ekiti State Governor, Ayo Fayose have blocked the entrances to the State House of Assembly in a bid to stop the planned impeachment of the governor.

The 19 All Progressives Congress (APC) lawmakers in the state had vowed to impeach the governor after accusing him of gross misconduct.

However, members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) parked a luxurious bus at one of entrances to the House to prevent the legislators from meeting within the premises.

The PDP members were led by Deputy Governor, Kolapo Olusola, the Special Assistant to the governor on Information,Lanre Ogunsuyi, and the governor’s media aide, Lere Olayinka.

Fayose had earlier dismissed the plot against him as a joke saying that whoever wants to impeach him must impeach God first.

Actor Yul Edochie has revealed the identity of a man who he claims has been sexually harassing him online.

The Nollywood actor has used his Twitter account to lash out atSteven Ugochukwu Nelson Onyebuchi, a Nigerian based in Canada.

Yul Edochie claims Steven Ugochukwu has been sending him indecent pictures in bid to lure him into homosexual activities. When he did not yield to his advances, Steven Ugochukwu reportedly started sending the actor death threats.

"Dis gay psycho wont stop stalking me all bcos I wont send him a pix of my penis. Steven Ugochukwu onyebuchi" tweeted the actor. "Is it by force to be gay? I hav no issues wit anyone being gay, it's not my bizness but tryin to force someone else."

Yul Edochie further tweeted "Dis is d psycho who's hiding behind different fake female accts to wish me death, insult my fans n my family."

The actor has reported the stalker to the police and Immigration in Canada. He has also hired private investigators to track him down.

Williams said he thinks his attacker was the jealous ex-boyfriend of a woman he was dating or the prime suspect, a thug sent by the woman he raped years ago.

Now, unemployed and living off his savings and help from his parents, he has amassed more than $1 million in medical bills. The political life he has aspired to live and has worked in since college is over.

It was a stunning fall for a young man who once had a promising future.

In India 1,000 men arrested for cheating in police test

About 1,000 men have been arrested in India for impersonating candidates in physical fitness tests for the police, BBC reports.

According to reports from the state police, the men had been hired to pass themselves off as the candidates.

The arrests were made over the last 2 weeks, as documents produced by the men were found to have been falsified.

Last week, photos of parents helping their students cheat in the country went viral, more than 300 people, mostly parents, were arrested after the publication of the pictures.

This time around though, about 52,000 people had been selected for the physical fitness test, with the state government hoping to recruit around 12,000 police constables from their ranks.

Protester shot by soldier outside INEC office
