An angry husband who murdered his wife in the after suspecting that she was cheating on him with other men, has been sentenced to life in jail for premeditated murder by a court in Dubai.
According to the court records, the 32-year-old man from Sri Lanka had allegedly stabbed his wife in the leg before strangling her in June 4, 2014, after the wife had told him that she had sex with other men.
A police officer testified before prosecutors that the accused surrendered to Dubai Police and confessed that he killed his wife immediately after the incident.
However, police was also informed by the victim’s relatives about the crime when they discovered her body in the store room.
Shortly after that, the convict turned himself in and confessed that he had stabbed his wife because she had cheated on him.
During questioning, the accused claimed that his wife had been cheating on him with different men.
